WHO IS IT FOR?

Aimed predominantly at Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander & Australia's South Sea Islander women living and working in regional Australia

Women working in regional areas in not-for-profits, on new business ideas, career development ambitions and startups will benefit.

A key success of the Program is co-creation; celebrating the knowledge of each participant as well as facilitating networks, broader thinking, and other knowledge sharing.

The HORIZON Program is delivered by First Nations X, Atomic Sky & Project Play Up - Leadership for Women, and made possible by support from the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation’s New Industries Fund X-tend grant, Local Buying Foundation, Gold Fields and the Mt Burdett Foundation, as well as the following companies

What does it involve?

Over several months, you will participate in the Program including a 2-Day intensive in the region as well as virtual sessions online with Indigenous leaders, experts and coaches from areas including:

  • Leadership development

  • Communication skills

  • Personal branding

  • Entrepreneurial thinking

  • Implementing innovation

  • Raising money to fund your ideas

Each cohort is limited in size to facilitate valuable two-way learning between trainers and participants. Your knowledge and experience is as powerful as the expert content when shared in this forum.

Who is it for?

WHAT WILL IT COST?

Valued at $8,500. Participation is FREE for participants via a competitive application process.

Applications invited from Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people, and women working in organisations to empower Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people.

For women attending from corporate organisations pricing will be advised on application.
